The Bridge’s first large outplacement will be implemented and everyone is ecstatic!

Today is a very exciting day! It all began with a simple phone call from Mountain Valley Apartments. They were interested in placing up to 20 of our senior guests in their units, in conjunction with DHA. With careful coordination, the entire process has run very smoothly. What a wonderful process to be a part of when the community comes together for the mutual benefit to help the homeless. The Furniture Bank allowed the guests to come and pick out there furnishings, the Senior Source is donating foods for their pantries and the Ladies’ of Charity are supplying each of the guest with kitchen supplies, to include plates, glasses, utensils, etc. They are also donating fresh foods for their refrigerators. Volunteers, along with the Care Managers, will be moving the seniors into their new homes. Once that is completed, the guest will be escorted to Mountain Valley to receive the key to the doors of their apartments and the start of a new life. Wrap around services have been carefully planned for each of these guests and will be in close contact with their Care Managers for the next six months, to include home visits.
